Having lived abroad for many years and learned from the many sub-disciplines of design
has reinforced meabout my motivations and future in the field of design for interaction.
My interest covers the area of user experience and design research.
My background in Design for Interaction (MSc, TU Delft) and User System Interaction
(PDEng, TU Eindhoven) gave me the right skills to learn from context, generate insights,
and translate them into innovative, well-founded concepts and products.
Colleagues could define me as open minded, creative, vision oriented,
persistent and hard-worker yet with sense of humor.
I find it exciting to discover findings to lead to innovative and effective solutions
with an impact in people’s lifes. I believe in the potential of design to improve the world.
I am passionate about the influence of context and the psychological aspects
around design: the ingredients of the user’s experience. The training I received
in User Centered Design made me an analytical UCD designer, yet a part of me
always looks for the inspirational/intuitive out-of-the-box solution.
Besides design, I am a nature lover, and expect to complete an 840 km hike
in the Pyrenees next summer. Music and cooking are also important expression
factors in my life for which they let me use inspiration, improvisation
and knowledge to elicit emotions.
In the near future, I picture myself working on interesting and challenging projects
on context research, usability, conceptualization, and overall interaction design
regardless software, product, service or system design.
